    Little Masters Health Checkup  
 
 
This is aimed at early detection and treatment of undiagnosed congenital problems. This assumes importance in a milieu where the children cannot express the suffering they undergo and parents will have to be their watch dogs. Recent reports suggest that rapid change in life styles, dietary patterns and emotional issues are playing an important role in the occurrence of various diseases like obesity, hypertension, diabetes, heart diseases and behavioral disorders. Early diagnosis of these can prevent a majority of serious consequences.

Some of the examinations conducted as a part of the Little Master’s Health Check Up include:
MONITORING GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT:
A child’s rate of growth and development is fascinatingly rapid and needs to be monitored annually between birth and 6 years and every 2 years thereafter. Checking your child’s growth and development will enable you know whether  your child is nutritionally adequate or  short for age.

A child develops his mental faculties with the stimulation he gets from the environment at home,  school and  at the neighborhood. You can help your child develop his learning potential to the fullest by regular developmental assessments via the little master’s health check up.
CHECK UP OF VISUAL ACQUITY:
Development of the eye occurs maximally during the first 6 years of life and is Completed by 12 years of age. Any eye defects in children can hamper vision for life. An eye check up by an ophthalmologist will help identify visual defects and refractory errors early. It is also possible to detect congenital cataract, squint and other disorders. Most of these problems are eminently treatable if diagnosed early. Such a screening will help in the scholastic performance of your child.
DENTAL CHECK UP:

Healthy teeth are important to your child's overall health. Get a routine dental check up done once in 6 months after the age of 2 years for your child to prevent dental caries (tooth decay). Obtain advice on good oral hygiene during the little master’s health check up  to help your child  have healthy teeth and  a beautiful smile which boosts the self esteem of your child.
NUTRITIONAL CHECK UP:

There are a lot of under weight and overweight problems. Our nutrition department specialises in assessing the child’s nutritional status by a thorough examination of the whole body. After assessment, diet charts are formulated specifically for your child. Over weight is now becoming a global epidemic and is leading to early diabetes, rise of blood pressure, occurrence of heart diseases, joint pains, cancers and other metabolic disorders
IMMUNISATIONS:

Children are very vulnerable to infectious diseases and as parents we need to protect them. At Innova we will ensure that your child gets the best protection with potent vaccines which have been preserved with utmost care at optimal temperatures.  We follow the schedule of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics to cover the entire range of vaccine preventable diseases
DIAGNOSIS AND CARE OF ALLERGIES:

Thanks to the day to day changes in life styles children have become more sensitive and allergic consequent to pollution, over crowding and faulty dietary habits. Frequent allergic disorders lead to problems such as rhinitis, dry cough, breathing difficulties, asthma and various skin problems. Early recognition of these allergies helps the child attend school regularly by lessening the absenteeism.
INVESTIGATIVE CHECK UP:

The following investigations will be performed for all the children under the Little Master’s Health Check up.  If for any reason and on suggestion by the examining consultants other special investigations are required, they will be performed on payment of specified fee.
COMMON INVESTIGATIONS FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS (0 TO 18 YEARS)
  • Complete Haemogram
  • Complete Urine Analysis
  • X -Ray Chest
  • Mantoux Test
  • Absolute eosinophil count
  • Stool Examination
  • BP check up
ADDITIONAL FOR ADOLOSCENTS BETWEEN 12 AND 18 YEARS OF AGE
  • Breast examination (By gynaecologists)
  • Sexual Maturity Eating (separately for boys and girls by male and female doctors respectively)
  • Health education and counseling on personal hygiene  will be offered where indicated
  • Special Psychiatric advice for temperamental issues , if needed,  will be arranged
COMPREHENSIVE CLINICAL EXAMINATION:

Every child under the Little Master’s Health Check up plan will be examined by a qualified and experienced paediatrician.  If he deems it necessary he may refer to specialists of other departments.   He will review the clinical laboratory, radiological findings
ADVICE AND GUIDANCE FOR FOLLOW UP:

Based on all the above, he will offer suitable suggestions and treatment plans as may be indicated.  He will also suggest a schedule for follow up to watch the progress.
